The Kirishima Miumori Sencha from Shutaro Hayashi gives us an insight in the history of his tea garden. Already at the end of the 19th century, the founder of the garden, Kisuke Hayashi, planted the first seed-grown tea bushes with seeds he had brought from Shizuoka. When Shutaro Hayashi harvests the leaves for his Miumori Sencha, he uses the leaves from these seed grown bushes from first generation and also from the bushes, which the second generation of his family planted.
